In that time, the Niners scored two touchdowns, the first one was brought down by Ronnie Bell who was filling in for an injured Brandon Aiyuk. New York gained 49 yards on their first drive before kicking an early field goal but went to half with 88 yards of total offense. Both teams exchanged field goals to start the game, but after that the Niners took control on both sides of the ball. The Niners however, have been nothing short of dominant in the opening weeks of the season, and Thursday night was no different. Not to mention their star running back Saquon Barkley was sidelined after suffering an ankle injury last week. It was always going to be tough for New York who had their second straight game on the west coast, and on a short week.
Brock Purdy threw for over 300 yards as the Niners cruised to a 30-12 victory from Levi Stadium on Thursday night. The San Francisco 49ers continued to roll through the competition in their home debut against the New York Giants.
